Privacy Policy for Simple Protractor
Effective date: [2026-09-14]
The short version
Simple Protractor computes an angle from two on-screen touch points and shows the number to you. That is the entire lifecycle of every measurement. Touch coordinates never leave the drawing view, and the app has no way to store or transmit them.
Information Simple Protractor stores locally
None. The app writes no files, no preferences, and no databases during normal use. The only setting the app keeps in memory is whether you last chose the 180-degree or 360-degree range, and that lives in the Android process only and is discarded when the process is killed.
Information we do not collect
- We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or account.
- We do not record which angles you measure or how often you measure them.
- We do not read your camera, microphone, storage, or clipboard.
- We do not receive analytics, telemetry, or crash reports.
Android permissions
Simple Protractor declares zero Android permissions in its manifest. There is nothing to grant, revoke, or worry about.
Network use
The app does not request the android.permission.INTERNET
permission. It has no ability to reach any remote host from your
device.
Third parties
No advertising, analytics, crash reporting, or billing library ships in the APK. No third party runs alongside the app.
Children
Simple Protractor collects no personal data from anyone, of any age, at any time. It is safe by design for use in classrooms and by students under 13.
Updates to this policy
If we ever change what the app does with data on your device, we will update the effective date at the top of this document and, where required, note the change in the release notes.
